The cardiac catheterization laboratory, or "cath lab," is a department in the hospital that specializes in visualizing the heart. The high-tech equipment in the cath lab helps the cardiologists diagnose problems with the heart. After cardiac conditions are diagnosed, the multidisciplinary team is able to intervene to correct a large variety of heart problems. Our team is always available, and performs over 2000 diagnostic and interventional procedures a year.

One of the hallmarks of our exceptional heart care is our ability to provide world-class heart attack treatment. Our team can open a blocked artery within 90 minutes of paramedics performing the first electrocardiogram in the field. Emanate Health Heart Center has excellent outcomes for our heart attack victims and is known in Los Angeles County as having some of the best times from onset of a heart attack until we open up the artery and place a stent. At Emanate Health Inter-Community Hospital we are a designated STEMI (ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) receiving center.
